Elevated Work Platforms

Elevated work platforms (EWP) or as they are more commonly known, cherry pickers, are becoming more numerous staple of worksites and Drivetech has the ability to provide training and assessment on all five common types of machine available here.

About the Course

The course is broken into 2 parts with the first half being classroom based and covers the different types of machines, their advantages and disadvantages, hazards when operating and what to look for in a pre start check.

You can then choose how many of the practicals you want to complete and if in the future another is needed then the first half of the course doesn’t need to be redone.

Practicals are generally undertaken at your jobsite, with your machine but if required we can source a suitable EWP if needed.

It is recommended that a refresher is completed every three years for this course

Drivetech is the only HIANZ approved provider (silvercard) south of Christchurch for these courses and while our trainer is based in Invercargill he will travel to our other offices when required.
