4 Wheel Drive (4WD) Training

Our 4 Wheel Drive Training is designed for anyone operating 4WD vehicles in farming, forestry, construction, infrastructure, utilities, or recreational environments.

Training can be customised to suit your experience level and workplace requirements.

Course Options

Choose from:

Basic off-road and on-road driver training

Farm tracks and rural terrain driving

Advanced rough terrain driving

Competency refresher training

Full NZQA Unit Standard assessment

Individual or group bookings

Basic competency training generally takes around 1–1½ hours, while advanced rough terrain training can be completed over a full day depending on the programme selected.

For rough terrain courses, we recommend a minimum of two vehicles and multiple participants to maximise learning and practical experience.
